Metalworking Fluids

The Crown Oil Metalworking Fluids portfolio consists of a range of products that have evolved to satisfy the ever increasing demands placed on industry with regards to manufacturing performance, operator safety and extended life. Our products are complemented by an after sales support service which is second to none, by ensuring our products perform to their optimum efficiency and ensuring our customers obtain maximum productivity. By discussing our customers’ specific requirements in detail, we can recommend or formulate a product to optimise efficiency and service life. We offer a range of in service monitoring programmes, including tests for dilution, pH, tramp oil contamination and dip-slide culture testing in accordance with HSE recommendations. Through working hand in hand with our customers we offer the potential to increase tool life, improve surface finish and reduce costs and maximise sump life.

The range has two main categories:

Soluble (Water Mix) Fluids

Through our in house expertise Crown Oil have developed a range of soluble (water mix) metalworking fluids suitable for the most arduous machining operations using state of the art additive chemistry. Products include a range of high oil content milky products (Mystic), semi-synthetic translucent emulsions and fully synthetic grinding solutions.

We also offer a comprehensive range of wire and drawing lubricants for non ferrous metals.

Neat Metalworking Fluids

Our range of neat metal fluids comprises of products designed for applications including, general machining, deep hole boring, hobbing, gear cutting and sawing to the most delicate precision grinding applications. Many products within the range have been designed to meet individual client application requirements and utilise the very latest additive technology leading to increased efficiency, improved surface finish and reduced consumption.

We also offer a range of ancillary products to include system cleaners, biocides, pH buffers, quenching agents and copper protectives.

Corrosion Preventatives

Our CrownGuard products are a range of de-watering fluids and corrosion preventatives providing extensive protection of metal parts for periods from 1 week to over 2 years. Tested to offer enhanced salt spray protection, the range includes products that will leave either oily, greasy, waxy type or vapour phase films and are suitable for applications by means of; spraying, brushing and dipping to suit a variety of needs.

Industrial Lubricants

The Crown Oil industrial range boasts a comprehensive portfolio of products used throughout industry. The grades meet the requirements of original equipment manufacturers & international standards where applicable whilst many grades are designed to meet individual application requirements and are formulated to cater for specific customer needs.

The core range of our industrial lubricants includes:

• Hydraulic Oils - Including mineral oils, high viscosity index (HVI) formulations, Zinc Free, fire resistant ester and water glycol fluids.
• Gear Oils - A comprehensive range of industrial gear lubricants including; mineral EP and non-EP products, synthetic formulations manufactured from polyalphaolefin (PAO) and poly glycol (PAG) based oils.
• Compressor Oils - Suitable for use in reciprocating, screw, piston and vane type compressors. We offer conventional and extended drain mineral and synthetic formulations in a range of viscosities.
• Slideway Oils - Multifunctional machine tool lubricants incorporating lubricity and tacky additives to reduce stick slip incidents.
• Machine Oils – Lubricating oils suitable for applications where non-additive treated oils are specified particularly in older machines.
• Other products within our range include: airline oils, mould release oils, spark erosion fluids (EDM), heat transfer oils, transformer oil, rust preventatives and quenching oils.

Biodegradable Lubricants

Designed for use in applications where ecologically acceptable products need to be utilised and contamination of the surrounding sensitive environment could occur. Crown Oil have developed a range of biodegradable lubricants manufactured from premium quality, vegetable derived and synthetic base oils combined with state of the art additive technology.

Greases

Suitable for an extensive cross section of applications the Crown Oil grease range includes products designed for use in general purpose applications and the most severe, temperature sensitive, arduous working conditions providing solutions to the most demanding lubrication issues.

Standard Range:

• Lithium Grease - Multi-purpose, extreme pressure lithium soap thickened greases for general purpose applications. Available in NLGI: 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, & 3.
• Lithium Complex - Lithium complex soap structured products offering improved protection compared to standard lithium greases. Available in NLGI: 2 & 3.
• Bentone Grease - Utilising organically modified clay thickener Bentone greases offer exceptional high temperature performance and improved water resistance.
• Available in NLGI: 1, 2, & 3.
• Calcium Grease - Offering excellent water resistance for general and marine use.

High Performance range:

The Crown Oil range of performance greases have been developed to cater for the most demanding applications including chemical resistance, complete sea water saturation and extremes of temperature ranging from 60oC to in excess of 650oC. By selective recommendation of the correct grades our customers can expect to benefit from; increased re-lubrication intervals, reduced consumption, increased component life & foremost in reduced downtime.
