We’ve collected pyjamas and chocolate this Christmas for Home-Start, a local charity that has been supporting struggling families across the Pennines for nearly 25 years.

Supporting Heywood’s St Luke’s Church Clock Tower

Heywood’s St Luke’s Church has been left a legacy to repoint the church steeple. However, during the renovation process, several issues became apparent with the town’s clock, costing a total of £30,000 to repair. We are absolutely delighted to have filled the final gap in funding, and have donated £8,000. As a local born and bred business, we feel extremely passionately about supporting those in need, particularly in our local area.

Crown Oil’s Christmas Charity Advent Calendar

At Crown Oil we feel really strongly about supporting those in need. In the last 12 months we’ve donated over £22,500 to local charities and causes. A big part of this is our charity calendar, Crown Advent. With the cost-of-living crisis and the struggles of winter for many, we’ve dug deep this December to help local charities and causes in any way we can.

Easter Egg Competition for Grace’s Place Children’s Charity

This Easter, we ran a ‘Guess How Many Easter Eggs Are in the Oil Barrel’ Competition on our Facebook and Twitter social platforms. We donated all of the Easter Eggs to Grace’s Place Children’s Hospice in Bury and gave one lucky winner £50 worth of Love2Shop vouchers.

Defibrillator Proudly Donated to Local School in Bury, Greater Manchester

The NHS and the Government have stepped up efforts in recent years to ensure more schools have access to automated external defibrillators (AEDs). These potentially life-saving devices have saved millions of lives around the World since being invented by Professor Frank Pantridge. Although there is currently no legal requirement for any companies to have a defibrillator within the workplace, doing so could potentially help to save somebodies life should they suffer from a cardiac arrest whilst at work.

Throughout the month the students took part in a number of different activities to support local communities and wildlife projects, as well as also experiencing the truly beautiful, yet challenging Africa.

The Big Bolton And Bury Toy Appeal 2016

Thank you to everybody who donated to this appeal. Please bear in mind that this is an old blog post from 2016 and this appeal is now over. However, there are always many children’s charities and local children’s hospitals who would be grateful for any donations of toys. So please consider contacting them directly if you would like to donate any toys.
