Crown Oil’s Christmas Charity Advent Calendar

At Crown Oil we feel really strongly about supporting those in need. In the last 12 months we’ve donated over £22,500 to local charities and causes. A big part of this is our charity calendar, Crown Advent. With the cost-of-living crisis and the struggles of winter for many, we’ve dug deep this December to help local charities and causes in any way we can.

Day 1

We’ve donated 100 selection boxes to our Lady & St Paul’s Primary School for the Children’s Christmas Fair.

Day 2

We held our very own Elf Day to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society. We served pea and ham soup as well as everyone’s favourite school dessert, chocolate sponge and mint custard for just a small donation of £2.

Day 3

We’ve given cases of beer and prosecco to Rochdale Olympic Gymnastic Club’s Christmas Raffle.

Day 4

We’ve donated £300 to Astley Community Hub’s Food Bank to help fund a storage container to store all the food. With no help in the local area, they’ve set up the scheme via Facebook for local pensioners and low income families.

Day 5

Crystal Chords are holding a concert with wine and chocolates to raise money for their local Topping Fold Foodbank and essential church repairs. We’ve donated £150 to help kickstart the event!

Day 6

Day 7

We’ve given non-perishable food items to the Lighthouse Pantry, a membership food club to help local families who are struggling to save money.

Day 8

We’ve donated £250 to Manchester Dog Shelter to go towards much-needed dog supplies on their Amazon Wishlist.
