Access to the most rural locations with our fleet of tankers
Incomparable customer service is heightened by our widespread position across the UK. With a wide range of tanker sizes, from baby tankers right the way up to those that can carry 36,000 litres and more, getting to even the hardest to reach areas is feasible with our drivers.
Red diesel is the staple fuel of a fully functioning agricultural business and is used in most farming equipment. From tractors to grain dryers, diesel generators to heating boilers, it’s clear how important a ready supply of gas oil is to modern farming and agricultural businesses.
To make further savings, why not benefit from our bulk deliveries which allow you to save time on placing orders and money on delivery costs too?
Whether you need a 205-litre barrel of DERV (road diesel) or large bulk delivery of up to 36,500 litres and more, we have a team of drivers on hand to deliver your farm fuel whatever the time of day.
With flexible payment options, competitive derv pricing and unrivalled customer service, Crown Oil is ready to deliver your fuel tomorrow.
If your farm machinery runs on diesel, you’ll need a steady supply of AdBlue to keep it running and ensure you’re within emission standards regulations. We supply the diesel exhaust fluid in a range of quantities from 10 litres to 5,000 litres and more.
Reduce agricultural heating costs with industrial heating oil
Running grain dryers and heating livestock sheds in winter isn’t cheap. Our industrial heating oil is an economical alternative to conventional gas oil, and it’s perfect for commercial boilers, heaters and dryers.
IHO is specifically intended for use where BS 2869 Class A2 or Class D Gas Oil can be used for the production of hot water, steam or other forms of heat generation, such as boilers, dryers, heaters and furnaces.
IHO is strictly prohibited for use in both on and off-road vehicles or any other static or mobile engines. This makes it an extremely cost-effective direct replacement for gas oil in your grain dryers.
- Compatible with BS2869 Class A2 10 ppm & Class D 1000 ppm (except for Cetane Value) – British Standard for heating oil
- Same calorific value as gas oil – same heat output for less money
- Same physical properties as gas oil – no burner modifications required
- Totally miscible with gas oil – no need to empty fuel tanks before changing to IHO
- Low CFPP/pour point – allows year-round summer/winter performance
- Reduced sulphur content – lowers acidic flue gas emissions by up to 50% compared to Class D gas oil
- FAME/biodiesel free – reducing the potential for a bacterial attack on the stored fuel
- Contains multifunctional additive – provides fuel system cleanliness & corrosion protection, reduced emissions and combustion chamber deposit control
- Light colour, low odour, sediment-free – much cleaner than some commercially available products
IHO can be simply added to your grain dryer’s fuel tank without any issues.
Crown HVO fuel
With the NFU calling for zero farming emissions by 2040, we are continuously seeking ways to help our customers reduce their environmental impact. Crown HVO fuel is a FAME-free, environmentally-friendly alternative to mineral diesel with a wide range of OEM approvals for use in modern vehicles, machinery and tractors.
It’s produced using a highly controlled hydrogenation and isomerisation process which removes impurities from the fuel and leaves a consistent, quality and paraffinic product.
Unlike fossil diesel, which has seasonal requirements that differ for both summer and winter, Crown HVO fuel can be used all year round. It has excellent low-temperature performance, with a high cetane number of up to 90 and low cloud point of -32ºC. This provides improved cold-start performance, clean combustion and less chance of waxing in extreme temperatures.
Zero FAME, sulphur and fossil content
With no bio, FAME or sulphur content, there’s less chance of degradation, offering a shelf life to up to 10 years compared to just 1 year for fossil diesel. Thanks to its high purity and flashpoint, Crown HVO fuel has improved safety, storage and handling compared to regular diesel, meaning there’s less need for regular fuel testing – providing good storage and tank maintenance.
Up to 90% reduction in harmful emissions
Crown HVO fuel is a valuable product for farmers to meet their environmental and corporate social responsibility requirements. Its burn properties reduce particulate production, helping increase the lifespan of emission control systems as well as improving engine cleanliness.
Our renewable diesel fuel is available for delivery to any farming site in the UK within 48 hours.
Fuel sampling & tank cleaning
With regular fuel testing and tank cleaning, you’ll never be caught off guard by imperfections in your farm fuels. With each test, our technicians will produce a comprehensive report, detailing its chemical composition, including:
- Sulphur content
- FAME content
- Water content
- Particulate content (ISO / NAS)
- Density at 15 degrees Celsius
- Viscosity at 40 degrees Celsius
- Microbial contamination level
With this information, we will recommend the most cost-effective planned preventative measures to circumvent issues before they even have the chance to arise.
Fuel polishing is an intensive but non-disruptive service to restore your fuel supply back to its optimised state, ensuring your farm can always rely on it when you need it most.
Let us breathe new life into your fuel, saving you the waste, cost and hassle of a complete fuel replacement.
If the quality of your fuel has degraded beyond repair, it’s critical for you to replace it as soon as possible before downtime occurs and further damage is done to your system’s components.
Using our fuel uplift service, we can quickly and safely remove any quantity of contaminated diesel and replace it with a fresh supply, securing the future of your farm and machinery.
Better still, we’ll responsibly dispose of your old supply and recommend a planned preventative maintenance strategy to prevent your fuel degrading again in the future.
Protect your investment
As rural crime continues to upsurge and with over £1.4 million work stolen in in 2014, discover our oil storage tank solutions and consider implementing a range of ways to help secure your fuel storage tanks against theft to ensure your farm is fuel kept safe to prevent loss.
OEM- approved Lubricants (Valvoline) & greases
Keeping your machinery and vehicles well lubricated and maintained is one of the hardest challenges you’ll face.
As an authorised supplier of leading manufacturer, Valvoline, and a specialist in-house blender, our high-quality agricultural lubricants will help prolong their life and minimise engine wear and tear, ultimately reducing operating costs and increasing equipment availability.
We also blend our very own lubricants in-house, allowing us to create a specific oil to suit your business needs.
Farm equipment not only needs to be protected during busy periods but also when the season finishes too. If left unprotected in the cold and damp winter months, metal can rust and corrode which will affect its performance.
From milking machine oils to engine oils and hydraulic oils, our lubricants can be custom-made or bought off-the-shelf.
Fuel storage tanks
We understand what is required for an effective storage solution, which is why we have a large range of products on offer. Our tanks range from 500 to 100,000-litre capacities and can even be custom-made to meet your exact requirements.
- 10-year warranty
- Protection from UV rays
- Corrosion prevention technology
- Tailor-made or off-the-shelf
- Fully compliant with all regulations
Safe handling of fuels and oils is imperative to avoid any spills and leaks. Our range of ancillary products are available to agricultural businesses across the UK with specialist advice with regards to the latest environmental regulations.
